Hotel Diggi Palace in Jaipur

diggi-palaceWelcome to Hotel Diggi Palace

Welcome to Hotel Diggi Palace is an oasis in the heart of Rajasthan’s famous Pink City of Jaipur. Surrounded by acres of beautifully manicured gardens, this converted haveli built in the 1860s is a haven of peace and tranquility located 5 minutes from the bustling Old Walled City.

Owned by the Thakurs of Diggi who occupy the main house to this day, Diggi Palace offers visitors a unique taste of Royal Rajasthani Hospitality combined with  facilities which include a Swimming Pool, a Multi-Cuisine Restaurant, Royal Gala Dinners, Internet Access, Money Exchange, an In-House Travel Agency, a Gym, Ayurvedic Massage, Excursions, Jeep / Camel Safaris, Horse-Riding & Yoga. Its 50 rooms, each with its own unique character, range from colonial style cottages facing the lawns to luxurious AC doubles with en suite bathrooms set around courtyards.

Rooms:

The age of the palace lends each room its own unique character. Set in 10,000 square feet of meticulously tended lawns and shady gardens, the hotel’s 50 unique rooms range from colonial style cottages facing the lawn to luxurious AC doubles with en suite bathrooms set around courtyards.

Whether you choose to quietly relax in the peaceful environs of the hotel or see the sights of the city at sunset, the hotel’s staff will be happy to help you.

“…a welcome respite from the dust and noise and the usual hustle-bustle of the city…… Rooms and cottages facing a beautiful lawn” as one of the guide books have rightly mentioned.

“Nestling discreetly off the road…stone arches…under trellises of bougainvillea…this little diamond…popular with travelers who value peace and tranquility…pretty haveli-turned hotel…set in green, green lawns…bathed in sunshine and silence…charm of fresco-painted rooms…beautifully complimented by friendly staff…beer on the terrace under the desert stars is as delicious as a good read on the lawn during the day….”

Restaurant:

Personally managed by the family itself, the Multi-Cuisine Restaurant offers its guests an unparalled taste of rajasthani hospitality, one you will never forget. The restaurant at the palace is situated in “The Baradari Mahal” a pillared enclosure, serving a wide range of cuisine to suit every palate.

Most of the raw material used in preparing the food in the restaurant is organically produced by the family itself at “The Frangipani”, their privately owned organic farms. A weekend visit to the farms can be arranged with a picnic hamper. A dairy maintained by the family in the premises itself produces milk and milk products. Most of the spices / pulses / grains are grown on their own land under strict supervision, thereby ensuring that the quality of the food in the restaurant is healthy and of the highest quality. All cooking is carried out in a spotlessly clean, glass fronted kitchen, which allows the customer to see his food being prepared in front of his eyes.
