The Ranbanka Palace Hotel named after the the Rathore war cry –“RANBANKA RATHORE “ –( The invincible in battle ) was built for Maharajadhiraj Sir Ajit Singh ji ,younger brother of Maharaja Umaid Singh ji of Jodhpur, both brothers being direct decedents of Rao Jodha . The Maharajas of Jodhpur lived and they ruled from the Jodhpur Fort, the Meharangarh. Around a hundred years ago the Maharaja of Jodhpur built a palace called the Umaid Bhawan Palace. His younger brother Maharaja Ajit Singh built his Palace; close to Umaid Bhawan which is a now part of the Heritage Hotel Ranbanka Palace.

In the present day, Raj Kumar K.V.Singh (Grandson of Maharajadhiraj Sir, Ajit Singh) scion of the Royal Family has converted this Magnificent Sandstone Building into a Heritage Hotel in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Overlooking the seemingly invincible Mehrangarh Fort on one side and the gigantic Umaid Bhawan Palace on the other, Ranbanka Palace Hotels, one of the foremost Heritage Hotels in Jodhpur holds the lingering echoes of a bygone era, like no other place. Harshwardhan Singh,has played for the Indian polo team at the world cup play off at Melbourne Australia in 1997. His son Yogeshwar Singh won the junior world cup in Argentina in 1998.Lt. Col. Kishan Singh a winner of the Arjuna award for excellence in polo, He was a member of the Indian polo team that won the world cup at Deauville France in 1957. In a professional career spread over 28 years, he has won over 400 trophies all over the world. His sons Harshwardhan Singh and Digvijay Singh have between them won the national cycle polo championship nine times and are also both polo players. Harshwardhan Singh has played for the Indian polo team at the world cup play off at Melbourne Australia in 1997. His son Yogeshwar Singh won the junior world cup in Argentina in 1998.

About Us:

The Term haveli describes the traditional Indian mansion or Courtyard house, a large Family residence built around one or several Central Courtyard, with external walls rising directly against public streets.
Pal Haveli, located centrally in front of the clock Tower on the main street in jodhpur, Rajasthan was built by Thakur of Pal in 1847. The house has been inhabited by the Nobel family for more than 150 years. Pal haveli has Fascinated western guests since 1887, when Edwin Lord Weeks Sketched the Pal’s Thakur Residence for Harper’s Magazines. Now Pal’s Haveli welcome another generation of honored guests to Pal Haveli.

Pal Haveli is a living Heritage Project, a place in time and space in which traditional life style and hospitality meets modern amenities and an international perspective. The only “living” haveli hotel in Jodhpur the private apartments.

Pal haveli is still occupied by the family of Thakur Bhawani Singh, who’s Wife, Sons and Daughter …..Despite decidedly Contemporary educations…..still live to a great extent the traditional Nobel lifestyle to their ancestors.

The main entrance from the street level leads guests to the largest courtyard decorated with ornate pillars, antique doorways , and frescos which are expended and refreshed to commemorate family milestones, the most recent being the wedding of daughter Purnima to a Nobel man from Jaipur. In Jenana, or family Quarters, the family still sleeps on Woven cots with silver legs, moving the low beds on to the terrace on evening when the weather permits, and rising with the gentle breezes at Sunrise. The Mardana, or Social Section, Contains the most ornate Rajput architecture, Including original stain-glass windows. Elaborately painted pillars, and displays of Rajputs Artifacts and weaponary. All efforts have been made to preserve the historical identity and integrity of the haveli despite its modernizing environs. The hotel at Pal haveli Combines old Charm with best of modern amenities.

20 Luxurious rooms, each decorated with an eye for historical detail and the cultural themes of Rajasthan. Each Rooms has an attached Bathroom.

Meals:-
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served. Guest can enjoy dinner by candle light on the highest outer terrace, where Pal Haveli offers the most distinctive view of the blue city of Jodhpur at night. Rajasthani Folk Dances Performed for guests on most evenings, and larger group feast can be organized up on request, flavoured “Hukka” is also served in a traditional way.
